Explore online safety with under 5s with our new learning to read book

5 March 2020

This world book day we are delighted to share our new online safety themed learning to read book, ‘Aimee and the tablet’. This book has been created as part of Collins’s Big Cat series.

Aimed for use with 4 and 5-year olds, the book follows Aimee as she plays a game on her mum’s tablet, but will she know what to do when an error message appears?

This story helps young children know what to do if something strange or upsetting happens when they are online and helps educators, parents and carers to discuss this with them.

The focus sounds in this book are: /ai/ /ee/ /igh/ /oa/ /oo/ /oo/ /ur/ /ow/ /ear/ /er/

You can see a sneak preview of the book here. And the book can be bought from bookshops across the UK!
