Anti-Bullying Week 2015 – resources for teachers

Anti-Bullying Week is taking place from 16 – 20 November with the theme ‘Make a noise about bullying’.

The week provides an opportunity for teachers to educate young people about cyberbullying.

It is important for young people to recognise the importance of ‘thinking before you post’ and the need to respect their friends’ and peers’ thoughts and feelings online. What’s considered morally right and wrong offline must also be thought of in the same way online, and treating others with respect on the internet is a good way to ensure that online situations are less likely to escalate into cyberbullying situations.

Anti-Bullying Week playlist

For Anti-Bullying Week 2015 we’ve put together a playlist of video’s which can be used to encourage young people to be kind to others online. The playlist includes Childnet Film Competition finalist films, the #Up2Us film from Safer Internet Day 2015 and the cyberbullying resource, Let’s Fight It Together.

Our Hot Topics – Cyberbullying section in the Teachers and Professionals area provides information on how you can support young people and practical advice you can give them.
