Communications and Marketing Officer
Ben joined the team in November 2021 and will work alongside Childnet’s Communicatioins Manager Lee Jones as well as Senior Communications Officer Becca Cawthorne.
Ben graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2019 with a degree in English, and a year later with a Master’s degree in Public Relations at Birmingham City University.
Alongside his studies, he participated in much pro-bono PR and writing roles, including writing for a popular Birmingham news website.
In his Master’s degree he was particularly interested in misinformation and the dangers of its dissemination through social media.
His previous work experience includes running communications for Kids in Need of Defense UK, a charity which represents young people in securing citizenship and accessing the rights they are entitled to.
